Il Roverone - Valpolicella Classico DOC - 2011

Roverone

Brilliantly ruby red with delicate fruity and floral aromas. On the palate it is dry, fresh, and remarkably well balanced. Pairs well with fish dishes, chicken with sun-dried tomatoes, caprese salads, pizzas and pasta.

Winemaking

Manual harvesting at the end of September to maintain the high-est quality selection. Fermentation in temperature controlled steel tanks. Refined in steel tanks for 7-8 months.

Varietal: 60% Corvina and Corvinone Veronese, 30% Rondinella, 10% Molinara

Soil: Southwest aspect. Calcium rich marl clay soils of medium texture with a mix of sand and gravel.

Pruning: Guyot

Yield: 7,000 Kg/ha

ABV: 13.5%
